Monitoring Benefit
The Exchange Online Outlook Collaboration status tests verify that the EWS service is available to logon for your applications, that a Free Busy lookup can be performed for the Exchange Online user mailbox, the Exchange Online user mailbox is visible from the address book and when enabled the Exchange Online user mailbox is able to send different types of emails. These monitoring tests also check that the network latency is within an acceptable range.
How do we verify the monitoring test results?
From the ENow web server, open the following URL to use the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer:
Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer: Test Input
Follow the above instructions to validate that the Exchange Online user mailbox configured for the EWS status tests can connect to EWS from the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. For good measure, we recommend testing with another mailbox account known to have a connection to EWS. Review the results of the Exchange Online Outlook Collaboration status tests and compare them with the results of the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. If there is an error presented that is similar, then consider the possibility of a server or user configuration issue that is preventing the connection to Outlook. If there is an issue isolated to the Exchange Online Outlook Collaboration status test, then consider the possibility of a site configuration issue preventing the connection to Outlook.
Common warning or error result(s) and potential solutions to resolve the issue(s).
Adjust the Network Latency threshold settings by opening the ENow Admin Console and selecting:
Server > Monitoring Policy > Thresholds > Microsoft 365 > Exchange Online > Remote Probes > Login Time (Collaboration), Send Time (Collaboration), Get Properties Time (Collaboration), and Free Busy Lookup Time (Collaboration)
