Monitoring Benefit
The Exchange Online Outlook Autodiscover status test verifies that the Autodiscover service is available to provide Exchange Online user mailbox configuration information from the location where the test is being performed. This monitoring tests also check that the network latency is within an acceptable range.
How do we verify the monitoring test results?
From the ENow web server, open the following URL to use the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer:
Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer: Test Input
Follow the above instructions to validate that the Exchange Online user mailbox configured for Outlook Autodiscover status test can connect to Outlook from the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. For good measure, we recommend testing with another mailbox account known to have a connection to Outlook. Review the results of the Exchange Online Outlook Autodiscover status tests and compare them with the results of the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer. If there is an error presented that is similar, then consider the possibility of a server or user configuration issue that is preventing the connection to Outlook. If there is an issue isolated to the Exchange Online Outlook Autodiscover status test, then consider the possibility of a site configuration issue preventing the connection to Outlook.
