How to Synchronize Managers on GALsync managed user objects

Purpose

How to configure GALsync to synchronize the manager attribute on managed user objects.

Background

GALsync can export the manager shown on the Organization tab of a user's properties, so that the manager relationship is carried into the target environment along with the user.

Procedure

The setting must be configured on both the export policy and its corresponding import policy. Setting it on only one side will not synchronize managers.

1. Select the applicable import policy node.
2. Go to the Directory tab, then Settings.
3. Select the Synchronize Manager checkbox.
4. Repeat on the corresponding export policy.
