The Report Wizard can run your own PowerShell against Microsoft Teams and present the output as an ENow report. This article walks through creating one.
Check which reporting mode you are in
Two steps of the wizard differ depending on your reporting mode, so check this first. In the ENow Admin Console, go to Monitoring Policy > General > Built-In Reports:
| Built-In Reports checkbox | Your mode |
|---|---|
| Unchecked | Enterprise Reporting Mode |
| Checked | Default Reporting Mode |
Create the report
- Open the ENow Admin Console.
- Navigate to Reporting > Report Wizard > Generate a New Report.
- Click Next.
- On the Report Options page, select Custom > PowerShell > Microsoft Teams.
- Enter your script or cmdlets in the empty field, then click Next.
-
Enterprise Reporting Mode only. Choose the schedule on which the Dashboard updates the report, then click Next.
If you are in Default Reporting Mode, click Next to skip this screen.
-
Choose the schedule on which the report is emailed, or select Once to have it run when the wizard finishes and no more. If you are scheduling it, enter the email address or distribution list it should be sent to. Click Next.
-
Enter a name for the report and click Next. Use a name that reflects what the report contains and include the date it was created — the Reporting Library gets hard to navigate otherwise.
-
Click Run Report rather than Finish. Running it now confirms the script executes without errors and shows you the results, whereas Finish saves it to the Reporting Library untested — and a script error will not surface until the first scheduled run.
The completed report is available in the Reporting Library.
